What is stop-motion animation?:: ZICA Bhubaneswar the Best Animation, VFX & Design Training Institute in Bhubaneswar, Odisha

What is stop-motion animation?

A stop-motion animation is basically when one takes a photograph of something and they change that subject they are photographing in a very small way. Then, they take another picture and they change it to take another picture. Manually, the picture is changed and another picture is taken, and so on. Each time they are taking a picture, they are making sure to take their hand that is manipulating the subject out of the picture.

Finally, when the series of pictures are played back-to-back through like flipbook, one would see the subject move naturally. The subjects were never really moving; the maker was moving it with their hand but playing back through the pictures where no hand is there, the subject seems to take on a life of its own.

One can apply stop-motion animation to so many different things; one can move found objects and can animate with paint with cut out paper or with clay. One can animate with live people too; that's called pixilation. One can try stop motion animation at home with a variety of cameras and computers. It is definitely encouraged to look further since it is a fantastic art form which is been around for a long time.

Scope of animation

Animation is no longer restricted to films or cartoons; it is increasingly being utilised to produce video content for a variety of companies. Companies are utilizing animation to create characters who talk for their products and services, or Ad films that use strong graphics to deliver the message, thanks to contemporary internet technology.

Furthermore, organizations found it difficult to make commercial videos with actors in the aftermath of the virus epidemic and persons exercising social distance. Animation, on the other hand, presented them with a welcome reprieve, allowing them to tell their stories in a seamless manner utilizing distinctive characters and voice-overs driven by motion graphic animation methods.

Because of the low costs and logistical advantages connected with animation, businesses were looking at it as a potential option to live-action commercial production during the 2020 pandemic, with animation pros seamlessly transitioning to working from home. This has opened up additional possibilities for the field to move further, even after the epidemic is over and industrial and economic conditions have stabilized.
